Patrick Azoury - Director and Principal Consultant

Background

Patrick commenced in the IT industry at the beginning of 2000. By 2005, Patrick had moved his career into Systems Administration and Systems Engineering shifting his focus towards project delivery and support.  In late 2006, Patrick made the shift from in-house IT to working for Systems Integrators in Managed Services and Consulting roles.

Over the next 10 years, Patrick developed his technical skills in the Managed Services space working in L3 support, System Administration, Project Design and Delivery.  By 2016, Patrick was a Senior Systems Engineer specialising in Server Virtualisation, Storage, Networking, Azure, Office 365, Citrix and a wide-range of back-office technologies.

Patrick returned to in-house IT in 2017 working for the University of Technology Sydney College where he continued in a similar role delivering Enterprise scale infrastructure related projects.  During his time with the college, Patrick was responsible for leading the design and delivery of the organisation's first Azure workload. â€‹At this point in his career, he decided to shift his focus from traditional infrastructure towards Cloud with the vision that this was the future for IT.

In early 2018, Patrick accelerated this shift and in that same year he joined a leading financial services organisation as a Cloud Systems Engineer before being promoted into an Engineering Lead role within a few months of joining the organisation.

With the goal to move into architecture, he returned to contracting where he continued to work towards this goal at other large financial services organisations, again accelerating his growth in the industry.

By 2019, while working for a mid sized health insurance provider, Patrick moved into a Cloud Architect position delivering the architecture of some digital transformation solutions.  Since then, Patrick has held various contract Cloud and Infrastructure Architecture roles for organisations such as Data#3, CSR Limited, Hollard Insurance, Westpac Bank and the Reserve Bank of Australia leading the architecture, design and delivery of large projects for these organisations.

Patrick today continues to specialise in Cloud, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and DevOps as a highly respected Senior Architect and Delivery resource in the IT industry with a focus on further developing AZ Technology Solutions and his career in modern technology architecture and delivery.
